NE-GROISM is a self-coined, highly personalized ideology promoted primarily by the X user @GroismGodswill (also known as Godswill, GodChidiume, or similar titles), an online activist from Enugu State, Nigeria, associated with Igbo/Biafran identity. It is not a historical, academic, or organized movement with broad adherents, formal texts, or institutions. It emerged in his content around late 2025–early 2026 via his X posts (small following, roughly 80 followers as of recent data) and blog at groism.home.blog. The term appears as a stylized play on the older English word “negroism” (or “Negroism”), which historically (from the 1830s–1840s onward, now rare and potentially offensive) referred to advocacy for the equal rights or interests of Black people, or to traits associated with them.
